INSTRUCTIONS FOR
LECTEURS FOR THE MULTIMEDIA
LESSONS.
Playing a movie clip
from a CD (to be shown on all
computer screens)
1.
Insert
CD in the CD drive of the 'enseignant' computer.
2.
On
the 'pilotage' screen,' click on IDM net.
This should take a few seconds to warm up.
3.
Click
on the multi-coloured square on the toolbar, then choose a colour!
4.
On
the grey section of the screen to the right, click on sources.
5.
Put
ticks in the audio and video boxes corresponding to the colour you have
chosen.
6.
In
the drop-down menu under audio, click on 'PC Ens' Micro.
7.
In
the drop-down menu under video, click on PC Enseignant.
The students can now see everything on
your screen!
8.
Play
the episode by double clicking on the episode you wish to play on the
enseignant screen. You will find
this in the E drive in 'poste de travail.'
9.
You
can expand the episode onto full screen by clicking on the upwards
pointing
arrow in the box.
10.
After
the episode has finished, return the student screens to normal by
bringing both
drop-down menus to 'aucune.' or by unclicking the audio/video boxes
Playing a movie clip
from LogoLab
(to be shown on all computer screens)
1.
Locate
the file you wish to play on the 'enseignant' computer and prepare it
for
viewing.
2.
Follow
Steps 2-7 above, then play the movie clip.
3. After
the episode has finished, return the student screens to normal by
bringing both
drop-down menus to 'aucune.' or by unclicking the audio/video boxes
Playing a video from
the VCR (to
be shown on all computer screens)
1.
Prepare
video cassette for viewing.
2.
On
the 'pilotage' screen,' click on IDM net.
This should take a few seconds to warm up.
3.
Click
on the multi-coloured square on the toolbar, then choose a colour!
4.
On
the grey section of the screen to the right, click on sources.
5.
Put
ticks in the audio and video boxes corresponding to the colour you have
chosen.
6.
In
the drop-down menu under audio, click on 'VHS'.
7.
In
the drop-down menu under video, click on 'VHS'. The
students can now see everything on your screen!
8.
Prof: 'VHS'
9. Play
video.
10. After
the episode has finished, return the student screens to normal by
bringing both
drop-down menus to 'aucune.' or by unclicking the audio/video boxes
