Who runs the English
Society and what is it really?
- The English Society is an extra-cirricular club run by all of the
English Oral
Lecteurs at the University of Nice. The English Society hosts
a variety of social and fun activities, events, and parties designed to
ellicit English conversation and provide an exciting way to practise
one's English (outside of the classroom).
- Whether you're into drama, movies, parties, or just sitting down
and chatting it up with a beer, we're the place for you. We even
have a variety of lectures designed
especially for students interested
in the English language and English-speaking culture.
Make friends. Speak English. Have fun!
All of the lecteurs welcome you to an exciting new year with the
English Society. We hope to see you at the next event!
Who
can participate in the English Society?
- The English Society is open to all students studying at the
University and who have an interest in speaking English. We
further urge students taking English LEA and LCE to participate as it
is greatly beneficial to their common goal of overall English
efficiency. Aside from that, it's ridiculously fun, social and so
much unlike classes!
Can
I bring a friend?
- Of course! Bring a few! If
they're interested in speaking English, we're interested in meeting
them too!
- We ask that you purchase a membership card of a measly 2€!
For just 2€, you can participate in all of the exciting events ALL
year. Certain events require display of membership card.
What
exactly goes on in the English Society?
- Check out the rest of the website, silly!
Hey!
I still have questions!
- What is this... the third degree?! More questions?
We'd be happy to answer.
